Charity is one of the core principles of Freemasonry. At Ashley Hill we give quietly, to people in need in our own community and further afield. It’s not about recognition. It’s simply the right thing to do.
Through our collections at each meeting, fundraising events and members’ own giving, we support local and national causes, Masonic charities and relief appeals. Across the county, Berkshire Freemasons fund local charities and community groups. That recently included a £60,000 grant to DASH, which supports children affected by domestic abuse.
What we’ve achieved
- Gold Award in the Province of Berkshire’s charity Festivals in 2011 and again in 2023.
- Patron of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution, which runs care homes for older people across England and Wales.
